OSHA TRAINING SESSION
Date: Saturday, January 21st, 2023
Time: 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM (optional department head meeting 3:00 PM – 5:00 PM)
Location: Online on Zoom
Fee: $45 (pre-paid only)
You are required to attend OSHA training if:
-You want to volunteer in the UCSD Free Dental Clinics
-You plan on going on Humanitarian Missions
-You hold a Dept. Head/Manager Position, or intend to apply for one
-You work in a dental office
OSHA stands for Occupational Safety and Health Administration. This was created by the Congress under Department of Labor to ensure safe and healthy working conditions by enforcing standards through training, outreach, education, and assistance. OSHA is essential for any safe working environment that may be potentially hazardous. OSHA certification is mandatory for volunteering in UCSD Student-Run Free Dental Clinics. We only accept the certification obtained through our organization. OSHA certification is also important if you wish to work in a private office. Normally, OSHA training runs anywhere up to $300 per training totaling 30-hours, but we invite you to join us for OSHA training made affordable for college students.
